CULTIVATING CROPS AND GROWING OPPORTUNITIES

Revolution Farms cultivates a diverse array of lettuce, fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers utilizing a range of modern and accessible farming practices in over 183,000 square feet of growing space in two locations in Michigan. Our mission goes beyond efficient food production; we provide meaningful job training and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to work.

Agriculture is a cornerstone of Michigan’s economy, and Revolution Farms bridges the gap between this vital industry and a talented, yet underserved workforce. Our employees gain hands-on experience in all aspects of farming, from planting and harvesting to greenhouse operations. They also receive their own garden plots to grow food for their families.

Lettuce & Greens SALES

We grow vibrantly fresh, sustainably produced lettuce and greens all year round. Our lettuce is bigger and greener than other brands, and darker green lettuce leaves contain higher levels of Beta-carotene, Vitamin C, Calcium, and Iron (USDA, 2001).

Our lettuce is grown to full maturity and picked at peak, only when it’s ready. Plus, it’s pesticide-free, making it better than organic.

CONSUMER & RETAIL PRODUCTS

In our Lansing farmstand, we offer produce, flowers, and Michigan-made products, including our jams, preserves, and sauces with no artificial preservatives or high fructose corn syrup. We provide fresh, high-quality produce to retailers and institutional food service buyers in Michigan. From growing and harvesting to packing and delivery, we handle every step of the process to ensure our farm products reach you at their best.

At Revolution Farms, we are leading the hydroponics revolution in Michigan with one of the largest and most advanced indoor hydroponic farms in the United States. Located in Caledonia, MI. Fresh, local lettuce and salad greens grown for
consumers across the Midwest. With this proximity we can go from farm to table in less than 2 days.

STRAWBERRY PRODUCTION

At Revolution Farms, we use the hydroponic tabletop method for strawberries, growing them in nutrient-rich water on elevated tables. This method improves air flow, simplifies maintenance, and cuts down on diseases and pesticide use. It maximizes space and produces high-quality fruit throughout the year with day-neutral varieties.

GROWING PRACTICES

Our passively heated greenhouses extend our growing season, allowing us to cultivate crops like strawberries and tomatoes. We prioritize soil and water health with proven practices and OMRI-listed products, ensuring both sustainable agriculture and valuable workforce development.

GROWING IN BAGS

At Revolution Farms, we use an innovative bag-growing method to cultivate high-quality, nutrient-rich produce. This technique allows us to optimize soil conditions and ensure plants receive just the right amount of water and nutrients for healthy growth. By growing in bags, we can better manage pests, reduce soil-borne diseases, and conserve resources, all while producing vibrant, flavorful fruits and vegetables. This sustainable approach also allows us to grow in areas with limited or poor natural soil, expanding opportunities to provide fresh, local produce to our community.
